FAQs

How do I order an arrangement?

We ask that you give us 48 hours to prepare your order before delivery or pick-up. Please click here to order one of our arrangements, or click here to make a custom order. Because we use flowers that are in season, we cannot promise certain flowers but we do our best to accommodate your color and style preferences.

What are your pickup hours at the farm?

The farm is open for pick-ups on Thursdays and Fridays from 1pm-6pm in Chapel Hill, or by appointment.

Our farm is located at 1002 Cane Valley Lane, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.

When placing an order, we require 48 hours to create your bouquet(s) before pick-up. If you need something quicker, please send us a message and we’ll do our best to accommodate as we are able.

Do you deliver?

Absolutely!

All deliveries take place on Wednesday (unless other arrangements have been made) from 8am-6pm and require a minimum $50 order.

Our fees range from $40 - $100, based on the distance from the farm to the delivery address. The delivery fee is calculated at checkout.

If you need bouquets delivered to more than one address, please place a separate order for each delivery address.

We only make one delivery attempt, so if no one is there to receive your flowers we simply place them near the door in a shady spot and notify the number entered as the contact.

Why do you charge for tours?

Blawesome is a micro enterprise that seeks to amplify the possibility and potential of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to claim a space of respect and acknowledgement in the local economy.

One of the ways we invite our community to help us accomplish this goal is by attaching a fee to our farm tours and workshops. While we love opportunities to share our journey and our work with others, we spend a good portion of our workday preparing for these visits, which takes time away from our daily routine and operational goals. We believe that our time and our mission is worthy and important; and we welcome those who wish to honor and celebrate this experience with us.

Our fees are not intended as a barrier to access, but as a symbol of mutual respect for the importance of all we hope to represent in the world.

Are all of your flowers grown on the farm?

Blawesome operates as both an organic flower farm and a floral design studio. We source our materials first and foremost from what we grow on our two acres of field production, in our 30’ x 70’ high tunnel, multiple perennial and shade beds, and various micro-orchards around the four acres of farm property.

There are times when the demand for arrangements outweighs our production capacity, when a request for arrangements happens outside of our growing season, or sometimes when weather, pests, or fungal disease result in an unanticipated crop failure; when this happens we source flowers from our sister social care farms in the local community, other flower farms in our area who share the same commitments to sustainable growing practices, or from a locally-owned and family-operated flower farm and wholesale business in Snow Camp, NC.

We consider ourselves a hybrid model that brings to our customers the very best of all we can offer in terms of locally-grown flowers, and choose to support locally-owned businesses when we need additional varieties to supplement our orders, or to accommodate special requests. We believe that our flourishing is deeply intertwined and dependent on the flourishing of others, and we consider it a great gift to be a part of a community that supports all of the partnerships that work together to create a healthy relationship economy. We are proud of our partners and we look forward to sharing the stories of these local farms with you, along with our own story.

Can I call Blawesome?

Sure! Our phone number is 919) 590-9574. We may not be able to answer your call but you can leave us a message at any time and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
